I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

I'm guessing the Dumas Bearcat is using this same blue tissue or maybe a slightly different shade of it.

No sweat. Planes like these (I would guess at most 8 lbs a.u.w) can easily be powered electric. Take a look at www.hacker-motor.com (This is only one well-known brushless motor company in Germany, there are many others). With an A-200 motor, you can fly up to 40 lbs fully acrobatic. You might power this one with an A-40L, a replacement for a 6.5cc - 10cc glow engine.

OUCH!!

The Corsair kept doing a nose dive, I think the nose is too heavy and I will have to shift the battery aft.

Some day I'll have to build one of these larger versions. I wonder if they can be powered from an electric motor?

Very nice the vert stab does look more appropriate. As fate has it I may be building a very large version Corsair in the near future. I may have inherited one from DD via poppy.

That's better!

Ah! Yes! now it looks RIGHT ON!!!

Vertical fin is now facing foward and lines for the moving surfaces have been added.

Thanks, but the tissues has a few wrinkled areas that you can't see. When I put that fin on it felt backwards so I doubled checked the plans and this was right. Now I just checked the plans again and you are right! I was going to post another picture after I added panel lines so I might as well fix the fin while I am at it. Knowing me, the prop is on backwards and the plane will just fly in reverse. Thanks for looking out for me guys.

I believe that cd is right, I believe the vertical stabilizer is on backwards. I hope it doesn't cause a catastrophy!

Those wing edge radiators came out looking very nice.

Perfection, seems to be your trademark, Steve. Perfect bird. Your covering is flawless.

Nice work Steve. Only problem is I think you've put the tail fin on the wrong way round?!

Ready to fly!

New batteries are installed and decals have been applied. AUW is 58.5 grams, the motor will give a max of 14 grams of thrust and will run for about 40 seconds with most of the power in the first 20 seconds.
SteveM, Image # 734825 Mar 08 19:58

The extra battery adds 3.5 grams for a AUW of 56.5 grams but thrust has increased from about 9 grams to about 14.5 grams. I think it was a good weight/thrust trade off.

But I'm trying to figure out the batteries. What are they for?
sweetwillie, Comment for image # 734225 Mar 08 16:56
Lima beans or peas, they look just fine.
