It's been on the news for the last couple of days with a number of good picts that are quite recognisable as a Do 17. It is supposed to be buried in sand under 50 feet of water and "very well preserved". The RAF Museum has anounced an interest in raising it for possible restoration, if they can raise the money. I'm sure there will be a fund raising campaign in the offing. |

Has anyone heard about a rare Dornier 17 being found off the coast of Britain? It is well preserved and may be the last known surviving example. They are talking about trying to raise it from the depths. That would be really amazing. |
