What is so special about the wings....just a lot of spars. This was the reason why I choose this Spad model. Your Spad was a bit far from basic in its construction. ZYour Spad had your creativity in it.

mine is a very 'basic-build'.... yours is already turning into a masterpiece. But i'm really curious on how you're gonna tackle the wings, cause those ribs are very typical in the design of the SPAD. :-)

Jack...thanks I have already been there. I hope this Spad is half as nice as yours.

nice work, i build the same plane but as an r.c.-construction. If you're looking for some inspiration on building the cowl you could take a look at this site : http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=457397 Enjoy the build, she's a fine piece of airplane...

Makes you wonder how aviation technology would have evolved if it were not for WW1 and WW2????

I covered the fuse bottom today.
John M Oshust, Image # 943902 Oct 08 19:46

Most of the fuse and empennage is covered.

Today I planned on a cowl. Unfortunately I cannot understand the method of construction just yet. The instructions make no mention of the procedure. Tails I can do W/O instructions!

Its incredible to see how the technology evolved in so short a time. Using a shelf with what looks like alarm clocks scattered all around seems so quaint. Yet, just think how far advanced the SPAD was compared to the Wright Flyer. All in less than 15 years. And compare the SPAD to a P-51....

Now on to the cowl and radiator.

More like a spaeed boat than a plane.
