I have their F-4D kit. It is also for static display, but doesn't come with duplicate sheets of plastic. |

If you put enuff motor on it, a palm tree will fly... Dave, is this another catapult jet? |

Ah, the old 'flying display' model! |
David Duckett, Image # 14999 | 17 Nov 09 09:26 |
Look under the "FLYING MODEL". This is one of three Dumas display models. The others are an F-4 and an F-105. since I already have an F-4 I'll probably go for the F-105 next. |

Good point Heinrich. It'll make a great display model, but I can't believe it would actually fly, although it does seem to say 'flying model' on the box. What do you think, David? |

Is this really intended to be a flying model ... ? I would like to see that, with these short stub wings ... |

...and the scale is approximately 1/22. |

There are two of the blue plastic sheets (one extra?) which are actually clear and have a film over them, two of the white plastic (one extra?) which are the sides of the plane, the canopy, 9 sheets of laser cut wood, assorted sticks, plans, building instructions, tissue, a clear sheet of plastic (?), dowels for the missiles, two sheets of white plastic for the fins on the missiles, and a sheet of peel and stick decals (;-( ). There are also two small red plastic wheels which won't be used. I am surprised and pleased to have the extra pieces and hope I don't need them. |

DD Is this a Dumas Kit??? |
David Duckett, Comment for image # 14992 | 16 Nov 09 17:40 |
It's an awesome kit! I'll post a pic or two of its contents shortly. The box weighs a pound and a half! I agree about the box art...Dumas probably loses sales because of the box design. In my mind, they could do a lot better. Course, they are located in Tucson where bright colors are the norm. |

I do miss the paintings they used on box covers of old; I guess that's too expensive to do these days. I'm sure it's a great kit though. If it had had a few extra stringers added around the fan inlet area, that model on the box is almost of Duckett quality! |
BillParker, Comment for image # 14992 | 16 Nov 09 14:20 |
NO! I saw one of these somewhere, and thought of you, Dave. There are about a thousand different paint schemes... As alway, I'm moist with anticipation... |
