Hi Moostang, yes, that is the one my father carved, as can been seen here.

Superb build James. Another carved prop in bottom of photo?

I just started this plane and I love the jellybeans

Beautiful!! Excellent craftsmanship. The covering looks perfect. Is the prop a cut down or all new? Whichever, it looks great.

Very nice indeed! The staining really adds a lot (not that it needs any more!). Aren't those markings from the Lafayette Escadrille? Or Nungesser's?

Simply beautiful..........

Excuse me, Escadrille.

Whichever Escadille it belonged to, they would be proud. Looks wonderful.

The cowling is now silver, and I stained the struts.

I've since coated the whole aircraft with Satin Krylon to blend the decals with the covering a bit better.

Does your dad give prop carving lessons? I am willing to trade lesson in rotary engine building for prop carving!

I keep putting off carving the prop. Any suggestions on the method. Look through my photos and you shold see the pieces of walnut I have selected, this prop is SUPER!!

Cool! It would be awsome to see one of these in an R/C version.

Thanks Moostang. I really like this little kit. Is your one laser cut? Probably not if it's that old. I'm thinking I might do an r/c version next.

Looks fabulous James, I started the fuselage on this maybe 10-12 years ago, boxed it up and shelved it. Maybe I should complete this one after the Zero. Anything close to your results would be great.

The pure essence of what this hobby is about. This is just stunning in it's unpainted state! Great work, James!!
