I have installed the gravity feed fuel lines, fuel indicator tube, and mirror. All of the wing rigging is done. I can finish the model likely today or tomorrow.
The new work station is an improvement.. |

I probably saved myself over two hours of work by pre-installing the rigging lines to the upper wing, and I didn’t have to handle the airplane nearly as much during the process. |

I appreciate that as I’m essentially working in a phone booth here..
I recently made a bit more room for myself however as my old friend, the Big Indian, has finally ‘gone west’ ...the old pinball machine mfg by Gottleib in the early 70’s gave up the ghost last weekend. My wife rescued it from a friends barn and brought it home a week after we were married 34 years ago this Nov. It was incredible the way it was built. No transistors - this one was 100% electromechanical. Miles of wiring and hundreds of relays. The amount of material, time, and effort it must have taken to build each one is not something that would ever happen now. End of an era. |

I like the tidy work space too - almost as good as the DD bench! |

thank you,Robert.
I planned to make it easier on myself and this way the hard part is done..no need to keep flipping the plane over to attach the lines to the top wing - it's already done. |

it wasn't cheap - this sheet cost as much as the kit - but I wanted to match the photo and these are perfect water slide decals of those markings. Lead time from my first email to delivery was 4 weeks approx..but we lost a couple days when he thought he had sent me the proofs but hadn't. Otherwise the transaction was very smooth. I can safely recommend him regardless of the hiccup. Might have him do the Aleutian Tiger marks for my P40 if I go that way |
