The struts for the floats are supported by very thin steel wire. They have quite a bit of flex and I will need this in order to land safely on a hard gym floor. |

I embellished the engine with a balsa disk with straight pins stuck into it. I trimmed the pins to just fit in the cowl. |

I liked the fact that there are float plans in the kit - although I didn't follow the plans exactly. I only used a few bulkheads and stringers and sheeted everything with 1/32 contest balsa. They look a little heavy but weight in at a reasonable 9.2 grams. |

This is a nicely designed model with good parts fit. I am building this Beaver for indoor free flight, so I want to make it light. I trimmed out a great deal of balsa and replaced some pieces with 1/32 wood. |
