It is ever so slowly tightening up. John, I don't think it will work on women over 50. A friends' wife wanted him to get some of the new Pills to help he in a manly way. So he got her some weight loss pills.......

Water based coverings do this. Each soaks the latter making it wet. Did the wrinkles disappear when the paint dried? If so let me know as I have age wrinkles to remove!

Huey, I do admire your courage to try that E-Z Dope and Acrylic paint - thanks for the lesson

Using Radome Tan for base color, closest I can find to the origonal colors.

Wrinkels where there were none....

Tryed some color, this stuff sucks! Using acrylic paint this stuff wrinkels and doesn't shrink back. Should have gone with Nitrate! Tempted to tare it off and start over. Nasty learning curve...

Looks really good to me Huey. Sounds like you've got it all worked out.

Great idea. Another solution to a construction dilemma.

Have some brown foam left over from where I worked. Cut strips "V" shaped. sanded with a rolled piece of 220 to fit aginst the wing and fuselage, CA'd in place.

Huey, for the root fairing fillet, I did it the hard way. I first glued in a balsa fillet root fairing made from a long piece of soft balsa, and I carved it and sanded it out into a long piece of triangular cross-section, which narrowed to a point at the tips, with the curvature of the fuse, and the curvature of the upper wing, matching the two mating sides of the triangular cross-section. I then glued this balsa fillet backing in place first, and then trimmed up some brown file folder card stock to fit as a surface cover for the fillet, and then glued this cardstock surface cover to the balsa fillet backing root fairing. It is a little long, but it is solid to glue cardstock to.

Looks pristine and glistening to me Huey.

If I remember correctly, when I built my Bee Gee, I used cardboard similar to card stock. I just checked my build thread on the Z, yes cardboard. Surprised I remembered it has been awhile.

Don, its 1/18, and its all Eze-Dope. Using acrylic for final colors. John, don't know yet. Suggestions?
