Hello John Oshust: Please rehire the "Boris" and "Yegor" and "John" and "Wayne" characters that worked on this Sopwith Camel build. I broke into many, end-of-exhaling-breath, deep, belly laughs with this thread build. Thanks for putting so much good clean fun into constructing a model! Most enjoyable and very clever and humorous. I got a real kick out of it! Please do more. |

John, I followed your build of the Pfalz Dr 1 with interest. I've never used polyspan. From what you have written in your posts, you apply it like silkspan with dope, but shrink it with a heat gun. Questions: does the grain of the polyspan run the length of the wingspan? Does it matter what type of dope? Butyrate? Nitrite? Can you also use polyspan as a sealant over wooden surfaces like silkspan, say over a fuselage? What temperature to you set for the heat gun? I've seen others say not to sand it or it will become roughed up. True? Hope I haven't asked too much. Sky |

Likely story. He was probably out prowling for females and lacked the energy to climb back into the house. |

He is back. A little stiff but none the worse for wear! Bubz is exonerated. Gumby fell out of the bird house! |

Meku,
Only 16 spokes. More spokes make a heavy wheel.. When was this? About seven years back, Boris has aged a great deal since, but he still likes to work with metal😄😄😄 |

Boris liked, however, work in the metal :-) |

Thanks poppy.....Glass bead and heat shrink tubing for the buckles. They closely resemble the real things shown in my research photos. |
