ok - I see what you meant about the paint now...much better to the left. This will look very good I think. These jets had a cool 'bat-ray' sort of look about them, almost like they could fly just as well underwater

19 3/4" wingspan, Brian. 1/24 scale. DD, Wheels came today. Thank you very much. Wouldn't you know, there's a Laird Solution and an F9f by Cleveland on Ebay. Hope it cools off a bit for the move.

Looks nice.

Wasn't happy with the color. Too blue. Left wing is new color. Much better. Gloss or semigloss Krylon will make it good.

Boy, do I remember that.
Don C, Comment for image # 3887718 Jun 17 18:16
Thanks guys. I thought it might be too blue.

I saw the Thunder Birds flying F100's at Biggin Hill in the UK in (I think) 1957? Spoke to one of the pilots, he did a slow roll for us cadets, low, over the airfield when they departed! Great day for us.

Living in San Diego I've had the opportunity to see the Blues several times at Miramar. Skyhawks, F4's, and the F18...A few years back they were unable to do the Miramar show so the Thunderbirds filled in. They were very good. The Canadian Snowbirds are highly polished and precise too. Precision team aerobatic flying is incredible to see in person.

I saw the Blue Angles when they flew Skyhawks. Thrilling! Also got to listen to pilots as they stood by their planes.

Good looking jet - paint looks right to me

Yep. They would dive back down at each other. They crossed with in 100 yards of us. The boat shook as they went by. I also think it was called the Cleveland Air Races, not Air Show. We were out there all day with a pylon judge.
