The oil cooler mounted in the cowling behind the prop is made of painted bass wood. The pitot tube on the wing is bent wire with a piece of copper attached. The gunsight is a dowel with masking tape wrappings.

The Nate is finally finished and the little details have been added. The wheels, which are plastic from the parts box, and pants turned out well. The exhaust is plastic tubing squeezed to shape with pliers and painted metallic gray.

The first coat of resin is sanded down and 1/8" sheet has been applied around all edges to ensure a little excess plastic to work with when demolding and trimming to fit the plane. The purple disk is some extra resin, it is hard as a rock.
