this will give you an idea now mold process works. This mold material is the same as used in life sculpturing.

at top is wing used to make mold, and at the bottom is the firebrick mold. The firebrick mold then goes in to kiln for slumping. This is technique where glass is heated to the point it becomes flexible, and contours to the mold.

testing, testing...these are courtesy of John O. A test piece shows great adhesion and the red is actually much better than it shows here. Thankfully the cuts are all straight lines.
