If you have only one Fokker, paint it red. Or, was that Ferrari?

I ended up having to remake the mold half that had air bubble issues. After a coat of paint you wouldn't know which was the original.

A couple of musts for a Guillows kit to fly. Have to make a nose plug so you can add weight and thrust as needed. Also increased the dihedral.

I am all done with this build. Final weight is at 24 grams. She has a nice glide but I cannot fly until the rain passes. I did not have much luck with the Guillows decals so I made my own.

Note the large amount of rudder offset, mostly to counter the port wing's drag flap. There is also a fair amount of right and down thrust, working against the torque.

Not a Guillows Hurricane, but a scratch built one, about the same size. It is a little battered after years of flying and repairs. The port wing has a drag flap to keep it from spiralling to the left.

The mold halves. The one on the right came out great but the one on the left has air bubble issues.

In about 4 hours (7pm PST) the top half will be cured and I can start casting some resin. Rubber mold cost is about $6, not too bad but don't go crazy with it.

Alignment lugs carved out and rubber-to-rubber release agent applied. Don't worry, I'll add this whole process to my web page on duplicating plastic parts.
