The P/F-80 wore many colors, from aircraft gray to pure red or orange. This is light gray with silver added.

At 107 degrees, it's taken me three days to cover the F-80 but it's done now and ready for multiple coats of dope before painting. The advantage to the heat is that each coat dries quickly.:-)

Consequently I wound up with quite a warp in the tail. So...Ted made a plywood circle which I glued to the tail and added 1/8" strips to correct it.

The plans say to build one half then turn the plan over and "using the pin holes", build the second half. I didn't.....
