I learned that I was not winding my rubber motors properly, and now I'm getting better power and speed out of the plane. I think the rudder was damaged on the previous flight when it flew into a tree at a good clip. I checked it over but missed the crack in the rudder. Oh well. It gave me a chance to replace the solid tail feathers with lighter ones of my own design.
