I've been trying to upload the rest of the pictures all night but the system will not accept them.

It's always a pleasure to chat with you and I'm here most of the time.

Nice to hear from you DD. Glad to hear all went well. Maybe I'll drop a dime soon (or is it a quarter) to hear first hand about the experience, if it's okay with you.

Thanks. I am back home and it was indeed an incredible experience. The flights both going and coming were smooth as silk and I was delighted to fly again after 14 years. I'll post pics and stories after I get them done on our vets site.

Nice picture of the Vulcan, David. Are you home from your trek to Barksdale? Hope that you had a rewarding and successful experience and that your travels were safe.

Sorry, I missed this. It's free hand.

I love aeroplane noise! Concorde was awesome as she used to leave LHR. I live under the flight path for MIA (when the wind is in the right direction), and that also appeals to me. Wish we had Vulcan's or Concorde's taking off from here...

Did you ever hear an SST at take-off or landing only at tree-top level? Pity those who purchased homes in Howard Beach, Queeens New York bordering Kennedy Airport. The db meter was off the charts.

Very subtle, the green-black mixture. Now when you say "shoot the artist". You understand what anal means..

As a site for modelers, couldn't we use more colorful language? Sorry, but I just watched 'The War' on PBS last night and was miffed that the explanation of 'FUBAR' was censored.

In reference to noise: I never saw a Vulcan but Ian said he saw one and the noise reverberated throughout the valley. I think a B-1 is the closest thing to a Vulcan. I have seen and heard one more than once. Words, at least ones permitted here, do not adequately describe the experience.

Very nice indeed!

One RAF official was quoted as saying the Vulcan was the greatest device ever made to turn fossil fuel in to noise.

Thanks, James. Do you know of a kit? Personally I feel that if one who builds model planes doesn't like the Vulcan's shape, they should switch to trains.

Super incredible, David. :) I love the Vulcan, and this model really does it justice. I also like the earlier all-white colour scheme. Howsabout a Victor next? :)

They also competed in the SAC bombing competition and won the trophy in 74 for Best Mission. It's said they threw a hell of a party.
