I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

Penn Valley Hobby Center has it for $62.74 and they will ship overseas but I don't know the cost. They won't be open for a few hours but when they do I'll call them and find out how much it will be and I'll post it later today. I can also order another one and ship this one to you, surely it won't cost $65 to do so. As is, the box weighs 1.15 pounds and is heavy duty cardboard so it wouldn't need any additional packing for shipping.

I was gonna join in the fun but its gonna cost me $115 to buy in the uk....

Run it up the flagpole and see who salutes. I simply can't imagine so many of you would have this particular kit! Outstanding!!

I might have to join James in making a flyer. It's been too long since a built a plane so this could give me the motivation to do a little work each night so I don't fall behind. I don't think we should build under a deadline, but it would be fun start together when DD is ready.

Hey! All I do is offer mine to DD because I'm trying to return a favor and now it looks as if I've been Bamboozled into a Build-off!!! Look what happens when you don't check-in at VA for a day and a half. Ay Caramba! My Pat Trittle Brown B-2 Miss Los Angeles just came in that I've been waiting for for about a year too! Sheesh! David, "Why I Oughta!"

36 years ago I asked for a wife...now I cannot get rid of her!
BillParker, Comment for image # 1586913 Jan 10 12:27
well, like I said, I hate to be a pain... but it is an educational opportunity for all us wannabes... And you never get what you don't ask for...

Bill you photo suggestions are noted but why make a therapy project become WORK?????
John M Oshust, Comment for image # 1586913 Jan 10 11:37
No hurry on this end either as Olive will occupy my time for a couple of weeks and then I have another war bird in queue. Mine came from tower hobbies and was $52, if I remember correctly.

Nice project guys, if you want some good reference info, there's some nice close up pics at www.tissi.co.nz/rapide of a Rapide that was restored in NZ a while ago. Good luck with your project.

Hate to be a pain, but if you guys were to agree to a photgraphic format, that is to say, same shots, angles, lighting, it would highlite your styles... Lots of fun for us spectators.... Just an idea... Even better, put all of you in the same room...

I'm not sure when I'll finish the THUD and I absolutely hate working under any kind of deadline so I don't know when I'll start. I got this and the Beaver from e-hobbyland.com and while I normally buy from Penn Valley, they didn't have the Beaver. The Beaver was $27.99 and the Rapide was $49.99 and that's the lowest I've seen, plus, because the order was over $75, shipping was free. Shipping from Tower is an automatic $9.95 but at least they do have things like filler.

The masters and the great pretender (me)! Mine will be a flyer, as I assume Phils one will be too. I'll be ready to start in mid-Feb, once the in-laws head back up North and I get the spare room back.
frwyflyer, Comment for image # 1586913 Jan 10 05:31
OH BOY!! This is going to be fun to watch with all you folks doing a "build off". The masters at work!!
John M Oshust, Comment for image # 1586913 Jan 10 05:17
Just set a starting date. Mine will be a static model also.
jgood, Comment for image # 1586913 Jan 10 05:10
Hey, I've got mine too. Maybe we'll have a Rapide build-off all together.
David Duckett, Comment for image # 1586913 Jan 10 04:52
Pfinn has one, as well, and as soon as he shows me how it's made I'll think about starting it. Actually, I'm sure I can build it but there's a lot here...A LOT! The three large sheets of plans show all the details for adding the gadgets, motors, servos, batteries, linkages etc, etc, etc for those with an inclination to make it fly.
John M Oshust, Comment for image # 1586913 Jan 10 04:27
DD...I have one of these on the shelf waiting for a reason to build it. When you start yours, I shall start mine. Maybe we can stumble through the process together.
