After painting the canopy the masking comes off and the finished canopy has clean sharp edges.

Guillows provides a nicely done vacu canoipy for the Focke wulf, which I was able to mask for painting in record time.

I see you caught it with its tongue hanging out!

The Fw 190 has been my favorite a/c since I was a kid during WWll when an older kid down the street traded me a Dyna Model solid model of it. I must have been 7 or 8. I've built more than my share plastic kits but this is my first stick and paper. It is a

The initial colors are airbrushed over the Light blue under and side surfaces. All paint is Tamiya acrylic.

It shouln't diappoint the P-39. I do belive the Russkies chased the Germans from the east to the west, all the way to Berlin!

The first coat of light blue is airrushed onto the lower surfaces and sides of the Fw 190. The German light Blue (helleblau) is very light; in fotos it shows up almost white.

Final assembly done it is now time on the scheme. Having found some German chevrons, I decided to do a western front scheme of JG 1. I know this disapoints the commie in the P-39 cockpit who had looked forward in running up the Nazi's score.

Looks fine. Any imperfections I had on the Zero were covered with narrow strips of tissue and redoped. After painting they were hardly noticeable. Nicely built straight frame. Good luck with the rest of the finishing.

finally got the wing root fairings installed far from perfect, but done.

Very nice technique...keep it away from cats! My cat 'Misty" barfed on my Camel!

Very nicely done.

I like guillows 1/16th scale a but markings are a real problem for me since I'm not a comercial artist so I will probably build more Diels 1/24th scale using 1/24th scale plastic model decals.

The papering is nearly finished. I've got to add the wing root fairing which is never fun,

Looking good!

Adding landing gear oleo detail with neapreme and masking tape was simple task. The wheel is painted with Testors silver.
jerry campbell, Image # 297224 May 07 15:25

The Fw 190A-3 is ready for papering. It would be very easy to convert the Fw 190A-3 kit to an Fw !90A-4.
jerry campbell, Image # 297124 May 07 15:17

The other detail I added was the distinctive aeriao mast found on the top of the A-3 tail.
jerry campbell, Image # 297024 May 07 15:09

there are several minor details on the Fw 190A-3 that differentiate it from other Fw 190 variants, The cooling gills are one such details that can be added.

He he! I use one of those when I'm modelling too!
