It definitely looks difficult from the lurker's perspective. What kits come to mind as having been more difficult for you, David?

This is looking great, and I'm enjoying watching it take shape. I do have to agree with you, the wood is much easier to work with than plastic. I had to substitute wood for plastic on my recent Citabria builds and it went well.

I've built larger and more difficult models and while there's definitely a lot of work, and wood, involved, I don't consider it particularly hard to build. I wouldn't recommend it to a "long time lurker, first time builder", though. The lack of plastic is actually a bonus cause balsa is easier to handle, and the shapes are all fairly simple.

Must be your hardest / largest build to date. It will look fantastic and it does now

The engine nacelles are also built on a beam same as the fuselage. They will actually be built on the wing but first all the formers must be cut to fit on the beam.

Phil's spot on with the Alf likeness too!

Amazing that you have these guys running around in the wild. They look sort of prehistoric!

Targets or dinner...either works for me.

Collared Peccary or Javelina? Cute.

The infill is complete and the wings have been sanded. Next will be a couple of coats of filler and shaping of the leading edge and wingtips.

Thanks. I use various sizes, 1/4" and 3/32" mainly here.

Looking grand, no matter what color scheme you choose.

My vote goes here. It would be interesting if you built the tall boy its carrying as well.
