It definitely looks difficult from the lurker's perspective. What kits come to mind as having been more difficult for you, David? |

This is looking great, and I'm enjoying watching it take shape. I do have to agree with you, the wood is much easier to work with than plastic. I had to substitute wood for plastic on my recent Citabria builds and it went well. |

I've built larger and more difficult models and while there's definitely a lot of work, and wood, involved, I don't consider it particularly hard to build. I wouldn't recommend it to a "long time lurker, first time builder", though. The lack of plastic is actually a bonus cause balsa is easier to handle, and the shapes are all fairly simple. |

Must be your hardest / largest build to date.
It will look fantastic and it does now |

The engine nacelles are also built on a beam same as the fuselage. They will actually be built on the wing but first all the formers must be cut to fit on the beam. |

Amazing that you have these guys running around in the wild. They look sort of prehistoric! |

The infill is complete and the wings have been sanded. Next will be a couple of coats of filler and shaping of the leading edge and wingtips. |

Thanks. I use various sizes, 1/4" and 3/32" mainly here. |

My vote goes here. It would be interesting if you built the tall boy its carrying as well. |
