You're right and I really do like the beam type construction. It's definitely easier than the typical former/keel style and it's faster, as well. |

The wheelwells will have a solid piece installed to cover the open space and serve as a platform on which to mount the landing gear. |

The beam is glued to the wing and the two formers which define the wheel well have also been attached. |

The wings have one coat of filler and I'll put on another application and sand before starting the build. |

This is better for plastic pieces than Liquitex as it covers better. I painted the black pieces from the 1/72 kit so I can see what the nacelle looks like with open landing gear doors. |

All the big Guillows kits because there is so much plastic, the Dave Diels kits ( DO 335 ), the West Wings Sea Fury...It does take a lot of time prepping all the parts for this plane but the actual assembly is fairly easy. |
