Another museum quality model. Well done, David. |

Yes I agree, very nice work, especially the cockpit and pilots add a nice touch too. |

Nice work indeed David. |

Thanks, name fixed... |

I figured that they must rotate as the wing sweeps, but I don't like to make assumptions. I didn't find much material on the wing but did find a photo that shows the pivot.
Also, it's a "GR" not a "DR". |

Steve, I'm sure you know, but on the real thing, the wing mounted stuff, angles to stay pointing into wind as the wings swivel back... |

Well done!! |

If the wings sweep back won't everything under the wing no longer be parallel to the air flow and create drag? |

It was a couple of days ago just as the Moon was coming up, maybe 8 or so in the evening. It shines through both the front room and office so it's hard to miss. I can take some better pics this evening if you want me to. I didn't use a tri pod for this and really didn't see the planet until now. The Moon is a so called "Blue Moon" right now meaning it's the furthest away from Earth it ever gets. |

What time / day was this taken, David? |
David Duckett, Image # 8440 | 21 May 08 19:46 |
Ok, NOW, it's nearly ready for the paint shop. By the way, I believe the Moon's friend is Venus. |

Thanks very much! I taught myself to paint and have done about 400 over the years. It has given me more enjoyment than anything except building balsa models. I must say, it has certainly made painting models easier since the paint and brushes are the same. |

Outstanding. It could easily be mistaken for a painting by Alex Colville. |

This is amazing. It looks like a photo. The detail on these works are in master class. The variation of themes put you in a class by yourself. Some can paint really well this or that subject, but you seem to have mastered them all. |

Thanks SW but I have plenty of Hobbilite. And thanks Steve for checking. There is a lot of difference in the two products and I use both of them. I also have a can of another filler, Model Mate, on the way but I don't know how it will compare so I still want to stock up on Micro Fill. |
sweetwillie, Comment for image # 8394 | 18 May 08 20:42 |
I've got a half jar of Hobby Lite, that you're welcome to David. If it'll do you any good, it's yours. |
SteveM, Comment for image # 8394 | 18 May 08 19:32 |
No luck at my LHS. The owner told me there was little difference between Micro-Fill and the Hobbylite but I assured him I was shopping for a very discerning person. I'll still mail you what I have and keep my eyes open for other sources. |
