Except for the tail, this is it. |

After the first coat of filler...the plastic nose piece fit perfectly. |

Agreed, what a good looking frame. I can't wait to see the finished effect. |

Hey I did exactly the same thing!! Once they are blocked in and sanded you will never know though. |

That is why I soak my stringers in hot water for a bit, then put them on. They bend quite easily then. |

What a lovely frame. |

Hey DD and all. For a localized sharper bend like this, try brushing on some "Windex" window cleaner to where the bend will be and wait 5-10 minutes. I'll glue in the first position, then apply. By brushing you can avoid the glueing areas and make the balsa "Bendy" only where you want it "Bendy" i.e. nice and springy for the long fuselage swoopees. It's the amonia in the Windex that relaxes the grain. You can also use the method to pre-bend areas if you prefer. |

Mighty impressive David...I don't know where to post this otherwise so I may as well here as DD's models get some notice :-). Long story short, I am likely moving and need to clear some stuff. I have an old (50's?) 24" span Guillows Curtiss Helldiver and a 31" span Comet "superstars" P-40 (70's vintage) I'd like to find homes for. If anyone is interested in taking on these babies gratis contact me for more details. mleduc (at) pacbell.net. Thanks. ML |

I paint a wing and attach it...you frame another plane fuse. Remarkable! |

Awsome work...... |

It's 20" long and weighs 15 grams and is very sturdy. Except for the back bottom stringers and tailwheel this is strictly per plan. There are two 3/32" stringers on each side and all the others are 1/16". Me gusta mucho!! |

I wet this piece and rubberbandedit to a glue stick until dry. |
David Duckett, Image # 14323 | 03 Oct 09 16:12 |
The instructions say this might break...and it did so I broke the one on the other side as well to insure both sides are equal. |
David Duckett, Image # 14322 | 03 Oct 09 16:08 |
The plans show these stringers going all the way back and there's also a piece for the tailwheel to be installed. I'll wait. |
David Duckett, Image # 14321 | 03 Oct 09 16:04 |
These were added to provide a base for the formers per plan but it's not mentioned in the instructions. |
David Duckett, Image # 14320 | 03 Oct 09 16:02 |
The box is 3/32" construction and the formers are 1/16". |

This part is wrong. There's another former on the bottom and the plans clearly show it. |
