Awsome work......
David Duckett, Image # 1432503 Oct 09 16:22

It's 20" long and weighs 15 grams and is very sturdy. Except for the back bottom stringers and tailwheel this is strictly per plan. There are two 3/32" stringers on each side and all the others are 1/16". Me gusta mucho!!
David Duckett, Image # 1432403 Oct 09 16:15

I wet this piece and rubberbandedit to a glue stick until dry.
David Duckett, Image # 1432303 Oct 09 16:12

The instructions say this might break...and it did so I broke the one on the other side as well to insure both sides are equal.
David Duckett, Image # 1432203 Oct 09 16:08

The plans show these stringers going all the way back and there's also a piece for the tailwheel to be installed. I'll wait.
David Duckett, Image # 1432103 Oct 09 16:04

These were added to provide a base for the formers per plan but it's not mentioned in the instructions.
David Duckett, Image # 1432003 Oct 09 16:02

The box is 3/32" construction and the formers are 1/16".

This part is wrong. There's another former on the bottom and the plans clearly show it.

That is huge!

Thanks, guys. On wings palette there are 273 color schemes from 24 different countries for this plane.

During WW11, The Brits used the large blue with Red center roundels on top of wings and the smaller blue white and red on bottom. The bottom and side roundels changed during the war from the large white ring to a narrow one. Same was true on the yellow fuselage ring, from large to small. The Mossie and Beaufighter had no bottom wing roundels. The set shown have both the early and late style roundels.

Looking forward to this build with baited breath...as I also have one in my stash. I will obviously be watching this one very closely. With ease I urge Dave on and forward...C'mon Mr.Duckett...pleasure your many fans with a prototype Hurri or a Rumanian or Portugese craft. Beyond that, So many choices...Bulgarain, Belgian...and then take the Finnish, now that would be truly cool bird. A Russian bird may be frought, but with a carefully applied winter camo this plane would also be awesome. You have your idea in your head ( I myself don't know on earth what they might be.) I'm Just happy to see what emerges. That tigercat was awesome! Take care Mr.D

The box is built.

Pinned upside down to the plan and cross members glued in place

Construction begins by building the two box sides.

FLYBOYZ, Comment for image # 1379723 Aug 09 11:30
yes Ive notice that on my 3 spitz! The plastic scale models has the white roundels with reds dots in the middle and the guillows has blue roundels with red dots.I wonder why this is?

The tissue is in 20" x 30" sheets and there are 2 tan and 1 each of green and gray. The Roundels are 3" for the red and blue ones which go on the top of the wings, 2 1/2" for the red, white, and blue equal widths which go on the bottom of the wing, and 2 3/8" for the ones with the yellow outer band which go on the fuselage. On these the yellow is a gold color which is wrong. I'll trade the tissue to Scigs30 for decals. I'm sure he can put it to good use and I'll be covering with heavy grade silkspan as usual. About the decals: Guillows decals for the Spitfire have the big red and blue roundels for both top and bottom of the wing and I think that's wrong. Both my Spitfire and Sea Fury from West Wings have different roundels for the bottom, as does my Typhoon from Guillows and this Hurricane.
