Ted, frwyflyer, saw my remark that the front would require some fancy carving so he asked if he could help and I said I would take all the help I could get so these arrived today.:-) and I'm thrilled!! The back is covered with 1/64" plywood.

The fin/rudder are glued together for shaping and sanding. The center piece was colored red to prevent sanding away the shape.

1/16" cross laminated with 3/32" on each side. The center piece grain runs horizontally.
