Those guys seem happy with the mod. What happens to the balsa extensions in the canopy area when the plastic canopy is installed? |

Thank y'all, :-), it's close. There are still those exhaust manifolds and intakes on the sides of the nacelles to add. And I need to use some Micro-Fill one more time to smooth out the transition of nacelle to wing x4. I tend to trust the plans so I learned something with this overlay. I also learned I should have built the plastic reference model. First. |

Dave, I hate to break the news to ya, but your plane is simply gorgeous. Cover it already! *G*

So...I sanded the tops of the nacelles flatter and doing so also flattened out the rest of it around the upper half which made it look a lot more like it should. I'll probably leave the bottom as it is. Scale wheels for the Lancaster would be 2 1/8". These are 2" wheels made by Sullivan from Tower Hobbies. |

Spending time contemplating what has been built, it seems that the engines are pointed down. So I cut out the engine plan and taped it on the fuselage plan and since I built to the plan.....yep! You can see the difference in the centerlines for the two and it's the same with the outboard engine, as well. Also, the top of the nacelles should be basically flat but I built in the curve shown by the green line. That also causes the bottom to be off. |

Another coat of filler and some sanding are in order before starting the doping but what needs to be done needs to be done outside and the weather has turned too nasty to be comfortable and call it a hobby. Guess I'll chill for a bit... |

Ailerons are glued in place to allow sanding to shape. Three balsa blocks installed and sanded to shape. |
