Durham's Rock Hard putty can be mixed with light weight spackle in almost any proportion. The higher the percentage of Durham's the harder the result. You can also mix in water, water-based polyurethane or gesso to give the "right" consistency. Try it, you'll like it.

It's Durham's water putty. It's nonshrink and comes in a poweder form. Seems to me to work better than spackle .I'm not sure what mixture works the best (thickness) yet. |

This is a vintage dutch fishing boat the model was purchased in 1980 in holland by my brother in law..He finished most of the planking on the hull and set aside. he sent it to me to finish last fall.However ..the instructions ere in Dutch !!! so it was a real challenge especially doing the rigging |
