This Falcon will have wheels!

I really like the quality wood in these kits. This is a fairly easy build and the instructions are great.

Guess I'll go with this one again. I built it back in 07 so construction will be different.

Regarding the P 51 at Duxford, I chatted with an owner of two blue nosed P 51's at Ohskosh yesterday and he said that the pilot of the Duxford P 51 had no tail controls after the collision. The impact on the P 51 was just aft of the belly scoop, about where the tail wheel retracts. The flight controls are in this area so they may have been jammed or severed. Thankfully the pilot made a quick and correct decision.

The P-51 has been the subject of many an Aeroplane and Fly Past publication. The lastest Aeroplane pub. said the plane was scheduled to go to Europe with a new owner. What a shame to lose a superb piece of history.

Looked to me like the leading edge of the horizontal stabilizer of the P-51 is what cut the wingtip off of the Skyraider, must have jambed the controls. Always a shame to lose irreplaceable pieces of history.

Hopefully not too much. At least it didn't hit the 16, and stayed on its undercarriage.

Damn, shame about the P51. Amazing that the Skyraider got back, but I guess they were famed for that sort of thing. Looks like there was damage the lower side of the rear fuse on the Mustang? Damage didn't look that bad, but maybe he lost controls?

Looks a bit wet. This year doesn't seem to be going too well for airshows. This at Duxford. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2013219/Pilot-Rob-Davies-escapes-WW2-fighter-mid-air-collision-airshow.html .

Perhaps a bit embarrassed!

Ouch! Was the pilot OK?

Does it only fly in reverse, like their tanks?
