The framing required about 5 hours. The leading edge is 3/8" x 1/8" but the wood provided was 1/4" x 1/8".

The instructions do not mention these but they're on the plans.

Since the ends of this need to be tapered, it's better to do it after the dihedral has been added and glued in place.

The instructions are wrong, again. Build it as shown on the plans.

First sanding of the filler is done. I'll let it sit overnight and then slap on another application

The first coat of filler is drying...that canopy looks huge!!

The plans have the exhaust against the former but that's wrong. They're a bit small, too, but.....

Even your planking is precise and perfect on this bad boy. Your work is really educational and inspiring. I look forward to future pics.

Unfortunately it still takes a lot of time and I've been up at midnight working on it so...I think there's about 30 hours in it at this point.

Mini Me!! I got this 1/48 scale plastic kit to use as a reference. It's tiny!!! Big Me is nearly ready for sanding.

The cowl, which fits perfectly, is glued in place and the rest of the filling continues. There's about 9 hours on this session.
