These are the parts Ted made. He made the cowlings and props and spinners, too. He made the wheels from wood per plan but they're too small so I'll use the larger ones which are closer to scale. They fit perfectly inside the struts:-)

Picasso influenced everyone and certainly was a genius, and knew it. They say that if you know what something will look like when finished, you're an artisan. If you don't know, you're an artist. Models are an artisan affair until you venture "out of the box". I don't "see" snything except the shapes and colors and that's what makes it so much fun. Next time you're waiting for some glue to dry, paint something. It doesn't require any talent at all and if surprises you and turns out well, BAM! :-)

I remember years ago watching a video of picasso. It featured him at work in his studio in front of a canvass. In the course of about 45 minutes he changed the same canvass at least 30 times! To watch that canvass morph from one brilliant image to another was astounding! It was thrilling to watch a genious at work. I would love to see that video again. I`ll have to ask my friend and see if he still has it.

abstract? I would argue that it might be more of an impressionistic beach scene... Perhaps you're starting a new era of neo-neo impressionism?

These were taken about 12 miles from the house in Marana. The mountain in the background is Ragged Top.

Where are these taken? Looks like Georgia.

Ther is some of the cotton we saw for miles and miles on our drive. I thought we were in Mississippi!

Thank you. Loosen up is the key. It's only a piece of foam board and I can get about 20+ of these from a sheet so if I screw it up it's no big deal. Still, everytime I start something like this there's a certain amount of anxiety which lasts until I think it's finished. To me, an abstract looks much better when it's larger so I want some idea of what I'm after before I start smearing paint around on the larger canvases.
