I'll be removing most of the cockpit formers when work on the installation starts tomorrow. Interior (:-)) fin flashes and nacelle intakes painted. |

The blue tape is removed but I'll leave the outside tape on until actual installation. |

I put blue tape inside to make it easier to handle and to keep my fingers off while putting regular masking tape on the outside. I then drew the outline on the outside using the plan for measurements.. |

| I agree I myself not to fond for easy built kits any so called decalls are nothing but color printing of roundels and such your pretty much on your own when it comes to decals, The late great Vern clements refers easy built kits as junk and he quoted to me a lot of times does these people know how to build an airplane your work on the Lancaster is Art in the first degree tyhye best easy built has ever seen and the same with me HARDY WELL DONE Boats |

| At this point, it looks like any other plane in the hanger relative to construction and paint but I will not be building another Easy Built kit. I had to order the roundels from the UK and the two orders cost just over 15 pounds and the wheels were nearly $10. I don't mind paying for things I want but I hate to pay for things that should have been included. The up side is that the roundels really make this puppy come alive but you'll have to wait to see. :-) Clearly, the color scheme on a plane makes a tremendous difference and I've deliberately painted this one in lighter colors to show the lines. Most images of this plane are in dark brown and green on top and black on the bottom. That's fine for night bombing raids, perhaps, but it also masks everything else. "Brown shoes don't make it."
