Ogre's RAF4a engine is a V twelve air cooled design. Just making prototypes of cylinders. Maybe one more prototype. Gumby has contacted our design consultants for a consensus. Final design of the cylinder will be determined after the Fuselage is fabricated, |

Yes indeedy do. I also forgot to wish those here, that celebrate St. Patrick's day, a very happy celebration. Gumby, hat and all, will be off to the Big Apple to see the show. Its against my better judgement but he wants to experience the happening. Micro fill probably contained diatomaceous earth, the dust like silicon skeletons of tiny, itsy bitsy, sea critters, DIATOMS. It is used in pool filters. The silicon particles, when inhaled, is really, glass dust entering you lungs. Not healthy.

DAP Spackle...another recommended product from VA. Thanks, John. |

The, home brewed, spoke wheel project comes to a close. Spoke wheels can now be “home brewed” to fit most scales that I may require. From left to right, Surgical silk wheels for Ogre, Fishing line monofilament wheel for a future build, and the Kevlar spoke wheels that I used on Nunzio. The Kevlar wheel has a wooden rim and a simpler lacing pattern. BTW for what it is worth, the DAP spackle, to Gumby’s right, has the Gumby seal of approval and is readily available at the Home Depot or Lowe’s. |

A prototype wheel with another lacing alternative. Materials: larger wheel jig from scrap, 7 year old PVC Camel rim, heat gun. |

A new metal hub design to facilitate lacing with monofilament fishing line. I have drawn a lacing diagram. Those who interested, please contact me. |

Larger diameter, 30 spoke wheel placed upon the jig. Note the high tech locking mechanism! |

Wheel spokes are laced in using fish line monofilament. Diameter and test unknown found in very old tackle box. After the lacing, a heat gun was briefly applied. This cause all spokes to contract and tighten. Super strong and tight wheel. |

The “Gumster” admires his handy work on the new prototype wheel! |

A cute analogy from The RAF to the Luftwaffe. |

Lookee, lookee, lookee, what arrived today. The Winsock reference booklet, with great razor sharp B+W photos, information about the evolution and design of the aero-plane. Complete with the terminology that was standard practice way back when. Worth every penny of the purchase price. |
