I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

The blades have two coats of filler, two coats of dope, and two coats of light brown acrylic. The tips have three coats of yellow.

The lamination is 1/16" sandwiched with 3/32" to equal 1/4" hub diameter.

Pretty nifty.

There aren't any hippies that I know of but many of the neighbors are nudists, I've heard. This can barely be seen from the road.

DD, are you starting a hippie commune out there? You'll need a VW microbus.

My Brother's wife used to tell him to lighten up. He thought she meant to lose weight.

Per plan, actually.

Dazzling! Did you make the LG struts?

If I've covered it before, chances are there's a photo or two on here showing what I did. Once you see it, hopefully it will make building less of a puzzle to you. There is a reason for all the changes I make adding wood, just as there is for those who want their models to fly removing it. I think adding wood inherently makes a model stronger so I think you have courage enough. Ask away, that's why we are here.

The hub is custom made by pfinn. These are the bombs from the Corsair kit. I traced the plastic outline onto 3/32" balsa and rough cut it to fit inside each half. After gluing the balsa in place and letting it dry, the two halves were then glued together. When dry an application of the white putty was applied and allowed to dry. That was then sanded and finally an application of the filler. That all sands fairly smooth and will not fall apart. I may need to use filler one more time when the fins are done.

Dave, what did you fill the bombs with? I just did the Guillows Corsair bombs and I did not use the tab technique. Everytime I sand them down they fall apart.By the way, nice hub.

If I may take you back to your construction of the wing, I would like to know how you notched the wing ribs to take the extra top and bottom stringers (Image # 19797). It doesn't appear from the images prior that the extra notches were cut before you assembled the wing plan form. I see this on many of your builds and just wonder how you accomplish this after the basic wing structure is completed. I am trying to screw up enough courage to attempt taking a stick and tissue model and build it up more solid as you and others have done, but am puzzled by some of the techniques used. I apologize if this has been covered by you elsewhere. Charlie
