Beautiful!! These parts from PFinn really make the models complete. Those markings are perfect. |

The tailwheel is a standard Du-bro item. The Pfinn Factory provided the hub. I asked him to make this one and a couple of others for the upcoming Skyraiders, if Dumas ever releases them. As usual, they are perfect. And I owe him another body part. |

Really Super, David. From where did you locate the wheel and hub?? |

Just acrylic paint, this is a light gray. |

Do you use a primer David or just a white acrylic paint?

A reminder of Bismarck? |

Thanks, this is one day's painting. It will probably require a week or more to finish but I'm in no hurry. After all these years in the desert, I find the landscape there really pretty and I loved the snow. |

Nicely done, David, and quick. |

This picture is why I moved to Florida. Sure we have gators, snakes and killer otters, but it's warm. |

Tja ja, the Nike Hercules ... In 1985 / 86, I was a draftee in the german airforce, stationed in Datteln, Westfalen. My unit was attached to 4th ATAF. They operated the Nike Hercules missiles, I was, however, only a guard (sentry?) in the launching area. That sometimes was a funny job - in particular when the soviet military mission (SMM) paid a visit in the middle of the night. Most of the LA and IFC equipment was operated by german draftees, some sites were equipped with nuclear warheads. When I left the show in December 1986, the site was closed down and later replaced by Patriots. I think the last Nike sites did not close down in Germany until 1989. "Blazing skies!" |

This was my only exposure to the system. This particular site was manned by National Guard troops. |
