Is the F4U in your build que? What does Guillow charge for plastic replacements. I may want to redo some of the F4U parts as they too were experimental. I've also got some .010" sheet styrene to experiment with to use to replace some of the light cardboard parts.

Looks great. Haven't been near the "Lib" for some time (very busy) but hope to free up time this weekend. What's up next?

Thanks! I ordered a B 25 to join it after looking at yours and realizing they're the same scale. This is actually bigger. They're also in scale with the B 29.

I looked and looked and finally found the contented feline.

I'm amazed at what it actually does and how it can be carved and sanded, and..how hard it is. The F 4 parts were part of the learning process after I totally destroyed the DC 3 parts and had to order a whole new sheet. Anyone need any spares?

This really came out great. Awesome job!

This looks great. I'm glad the castings are working well for you. I just never got really good results with the included plastic, especially 2 part pieces. I tried Milliput and other epoxies before I found the Micro Mark material, which is much easier to sand and shape.

Hey, you got it! How do you like it? The parts on the left look like F4U Corsair cannon, air scoop, and landing struts:)...matt

This is an amazing inspiration!

This is compliments of mattolson and his Corsair and Spitfire. They are cast from the inside and are much more precise than the plastic piece which is the mold. I take no credit for this one but I'm glad I found it here.

So, those gear legs are cast from the inside of the vacuum formed kit parts? Is that right? Is that what the kit instructions tell you to do, or is this another Duckettism? :) They looks great!

The difference is in the details....wonderful!

Learning to cast. Testing, testing,...Bingo!

They are indeed kit wheels, plastic with two 3/32" balsa discs between each half per plans.
